MotorWeek Exalts the 2017 Ford Explorer
Are you in the market for a full-size SUV? Well, if so, we here at Sam Leman Ford Bloomington believe you should have a good, long look at ours, the 2017 Explorer.
“Why” you wonder.
The industry experts at MotorWeek are here to offer an explanation; tag along with them in the clip below:
The Explorer’s mid-level engine — a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder — is without a doubt one of our favorites.
Optional with the Base and XLT models, the turbo-four joins with a six-speed automatic transmission to produce a healthy 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Standard fare includes front-wheel drive; an all-wheel platform, meanwhile, may be had as an option.
We dig the fuel economy of this drivetrain, too; when had with front-wheel drive, for example, it’s expected to return 22 mpg combined (19 city/28 highway).
