Consult Sam Leman Ford’s thorough guide to choose a Ford factory warranty plan that will help you drive Champaign roads in confidence.
Ford Protect Extended Service Plans
If you’re interested in a Ford Protect Extended Service Plan, you’ll have a choice of four. As they increase in price, they also increase the number of components on your new Ford vehicle that will be covered. Learn about all four programs below:
- PowertrainCARE: With PowertrainCARE, you’ll cover 29 components of your vehicle, including the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD. It’s important to note, however, that some parts within these components will not be covered. For example, the external transmission module isn’t covered, but all of the internal transmission parts are.
- BaseCARE: Drivers who opt for the BaseCARE Service Plan will more than double their amount of covered components when compared to the PowertrainCARE plan. Again, the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD are covered, with the addition of steering, brakes, front suspension, A/C and heating, and electrical. Like PowertrainCARE, the BaseCARE plan does not cover every part of these components.
- ExtraCARE: Upgrading to ExtraCARE will increase the total number of covered components to 113. This includes all the components from the first two plans, and you’ll also have your tech and convenience features covered. This means when one of your essential features malfunctions, such as the window motors or keyless entry, you can get it fixed right away.
- PremiumCARE: As your premier plan, PremiumCARE will cover 1,000 components on your Ford vehicle. What does that mean? Any parts that weren’t covered in the first three plans will be covered by PremiumCARE. You’ll never have to think twice about repairs when you’re driving Normal roads! Just stop into your local Ford service center to get the help you need.
Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan
Without an extended warranty, it can be incredibly stressful when your vehicle requires maintenance. All of your routine maintenance, like oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and more are covered by the Premium Maintenance Plan. What’s more, if any parts on your vehicle suffer normal wear and tear, you’ll be able to have them replaced.
Staying on top of your vehicle’s routine maintenance is incredibly important, and it will ultimately save you money in the years to come. Without regular maintenance, issues that seem small at first can quickly grow out of control.
